About Us

Las Naranjas Sanguinas brings the Spirit of Spain to the Heart of Brightlingsea, celebrating bold flavours, relaxed dining and the joy of sharing food.Inspired by Traditional Spanish Tapas Bars,our menu is rooted in simple ingredients,time-honoured recipes, and Vibrant Mediterranean influences.

Alongside our food, we serve Fine Spanish Wines, Artisan Gins(including our very own), Carefully Crafted Cocktails and Classic drinks designed to be enjoyed leisurely with friends. 

Led by Owner and Chef Lance, with over 35 years in Catering and a deep connection to Spanish Cuisine, Las Naranjas Sanguinas is a place to eat well,drink well and feel at home.

Our Famous Paella Night is back 🤩🤩🤩

Join us for our Paella Night from 5pm on Wednesday 25th March. 1 grande paella for 2 plus your choice of 2 beers or house wines for £29 - or upgrade to cocktails or sangria for £35.

'Las Naranjas Sanguinas' ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Blood Orange Gin

In a collaboration with a wonderful distillery based in Suffolk, using my own home grown blood oranges and rosemary, along with Valencian Blood Oranges and other botanicals, we have created our very own Gin. Which is now available by the glass with tonic, in our cocktails and by the bottle

We are also stocking Verstachio Gin and soon to have the ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Belstead Gin aswell, both also made by ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Nowe Spirits, our wonderful distiller. 🍊🍸🍹🥘💃🇪🇸

How a Tapas Sitting Works

Choose 2–3 dishes per person to start. You can always add more!

Start with some Flatbreads and a mix of favourites and something new - patatas bravas, chorizo in red wine or a classic Spanish tortilla. Perfect for sharing, perfect with a drink.

Dishes arrive as they’re ready, not all at once.

We’ll bring plates out as they’re cooked, so the table stays lively and everything lands hot and fresh. Settle in, sip and graze as you go.

Sittings are typically 90 minutes, giving you enough time to enjoy food, drinks and conversation.

Tapas is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace - plenty of time for a second round, one more dish and another good chat. No rush, just good food and good company.

Sharing plates make it easy for everyone to try a bit of everything.

Ordering a few different plates means everyone gets a taste of everything. Share the classics, swap bites and build your own perfect spread.Just make sure you leave room for a dessert.
