Lance has enjoyed a career in catering spanning over 35 years, shaped by experience, passion and a deep love of food. Along the way, he spent many years at The Orange Tree in Wivenhoe starting as a chef and through dedication and creativity, going on to run the venue.
Living and working in Spain deepened Lance’s love for Spanish cuisine, culture and hospitality. That inspiration led him to create authentic tapas, helping The Orange Tree earn recognition as the number one rated tapas restaurant in Essex on TripAdvisor.
Today, Lance brings that same warmth, skill and respect for tradition to every dish. His cooking celebrates simple ingredients, shared plates and the joy of gathering - just as it’s done in Spain.
